HC Deb 30 January 2001 vol 362 c97W
Mr. Quentin Davies

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many Lynx helicopters the Royal Navy possesses; and how many of these are fully serviceable. [147564]

Mr. Spellar

As at 26 January 2001, the Royal Navy had a total of 74 Lynx helicopters, of which 48 constituted the Active Fleet. Of these, 33 were fully serviceable. These figures provide a snapshot on a specific date. Numbers can change on a daily basis as aircraft move in and out maintenance.
