To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what the cost was to his Department of benefits relating to industrial injuries; and what the cost was of such benefits paid to individuals living in the Lewes constituency in the last year for which figures are available. [148017]

Expenditure on industrial injuries benefits in 1999–2000 was £756 million. It is not possible to provide a breakdown of this figure by constituency.
