To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate he has made of the proportion of NHS trusts that will incur lifetime expenditure in excess of £1 million in order to achieve Level 3 EPR. [147143]

[holding answer 25 January 2001]: We expect that almost all hospital National Health Service trusts will incur lifetime expenditure in excess of £1 million in order to achieve EPR level 3.
