To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many police officers serving in the Metropolitan police force have(a) up to five years, (b) up to 10 years, (c) up to 15 years and (d) up to 20 years service. [146112]

The information in the table has been provided by the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis. The data are for the position as at 31 December 2000.
