§ Mr. RaynsfordThe hon. Member is aware of the judgment made in another place which unanimously allowed the Secretary of State's appeal against a decision of the Court of Appeal to quash the Maximum Fair Rent Order.
The Order provides welcome protection to thousands of fair rent tenants from excessive increases. We have no plans to make further changes to the fair rents system at present.
