§ Mr. Denham[holding answer 31 January 2001The recommendations for developing cardiac services across the north-west have been accepted in full. Discussions are now progressing well with a view to developing the business case for the Specialist Cardio-Thoracic Centre which will be based at the Blackpool Victoria Hospital. It is hoped that the nrw unit will be operational by 2005, subject to the availability of capital.
