To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will consult the New Zealand Government on the references provided for Mr. Douglas Andrew, Head of the Economic Regulation Group of the Civil Aviation Authority. [148642]

I understand that the previous Administration took proper steps to satisfy themselves that Mr. Andrew was the most appropriate person for the post of Director of Economic Regulation. I see no reason to reopen the question.
