At 31 December 2000 the New Opportunities Fund's cumulative income since its establishment in July 1998 was £724 million, including interest; £636 million has been awarded as grants. The balance available in the National Lottery Distribution Fund is £553 million, of which £511 million is committed to grant recipients.
