To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills if he will estimate the average weekly earnings of(a) a fully qualified teacher, (b) a primary school head teacher and (c) a secondary school head teacher in 2001–02.

[holding answer 6 December 2001]: The estimated average weekly gross pay of full-time teachers in England and Wales from April 2001 is as follows.
