To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what research his Department has(a) commissioned and (b) evaluated on the public's willingness to pay a hypothecated NHS tax. [22302]

The Government have made their commitment to increasing resources over the next three years for the NHS, funded from general taxation and linked to reform. Decisions on taxation will be for future Budgets and spending will be for the Spending Review.
