922WThe authority for police power of arrest is set out in sections 24 and 25 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984. Reviews of the detention of each person in police detention in connection with the investigation of an offence shall be carried out periodically in accordance with the provisions of section 40 of the same Act.
