To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what plans he has to review the practice of docking state pensions as a result of a hospital stay of more than six weeks; what representations he has received on the issue; and if he will make a statement. [14386]

Mr. McCartney

The Department in conjunction with the Department of Health, is looking at issues affecting hospital in-patients, including the rules governing the downrating of benefits.
