§ Tessa Jowell[holding answer 6 December 2001]: Press notices publicising policy announcements and statements appear on the department's website www.culture.gov.uk. Operational notices, inviting the media to launches or events, are sent directly to the media and are not posted on the website. Press notices dating back to 1999 are archived on the website. Earlier releases are available from my department's Press Office.
