To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what assessment she has made of the impact of the current trading status of Enron on utilities in the UK; and if she will make a statement. [20750]

Mr. Wilson

Four of Enron's businesses in the UK are now in administration. Enron Direct and Teesside Power continue to operate. Ofgem and DTI are continuing to monitor the situation.
