§ Mr. Bob Ainsworth[holding answer 4 December 2001]: For the financial year 2000–02, £167,000 has been budgeted for the investigatory powers tribunal. This includes Secretariat staff salaries, fees and expenses for tribunal members and salary for one Commissioner. The Secretariat to the tribunal consists of few officials and a part-legally qualified Registrar.
