HC Deb 05 December 2001 vol 376 c364W
Mr. Bercow

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will make a statement on the cost in 2001–02 of the Medicines Control Agency. [16937]

Ms Blears

The budgeted costs of the Medicines Control Agency for the year 2001–02 are £39.6 million. The actual costs for the year will not be available until after March 2002. These costs are funded by fees from industry and others. The MCA does not receive any direct funding from the vote.
