To ensure that by 31 March 2002, 90 per cent. of people in police stations requesting the service of duty solicitor receive the service within 45 minutes; andThat 98 per cent. of prisons have, in accordance with Prison Service standard audit requirements, sufficient staff to ensure that all prisoners receive information about public funding on reception and know who can assist them with applications for public funding.The Group will continue to add other measures to the basket and to develop meaningful targets.
