What was the total spending of the Department of Social Security on state retirement pensions per thousand of the population in each of the English regions in each of the last five years. [HL1599]

Detailed information on retirement pension expenditure by geographical areas is available only from 1999–2000. Estimated expenditure amounts for 1999–2000 and 2000–01 are given in the table.
