To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what estimate he has made of(a) the number of his Department's staff making home visits in the last year, (b) the total number of home visits made, (c) the total number of homes visited and (d) the number of such homes that were also visited by local authority staff in the same period. [holding answer 2 April 2001]: The information is not available in the format requested. Such information as is available is that for the period April 2000 to February 2001 when 1,251,280 home visits were made by 6,332 staff.
