§ Kate HoeyThe content of any revised or new lottery funding agreement between Sport England, the Football Association (FA) and Wembley National Stadium Ltd. (WNSL) is a matter for the parties and not the Government. However, in considering the terms of the application made by the FA and WNSL to vary the Wembley Lottery Funding Agreement, including the removal of the requirement to stage athletics, Sport England consulted interested parties including the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. In replying, we have made clear our view that the new Wembley Stadium should be available on a cost-only basis for those Olympic events whose staging does not involve major infrastructure work to the stadium.
