§ Mr. MorleyStatistics on the number of fishermen are drawn from surveys carried out by the Sea Fisheries Inspectorates in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and the Sea Fisheries Protection Agency in Scotland. The number of UK fishermen for the years 1997 to 1999 are set out in the table.
