§ Mr. FoulkesThe deprivation and suffering, particularly of the children, which was featured in the 'Dispatches' programme, is principally the result of the policy and action of the Government of North Korea. Since 1998 we have provided over £2.5 million of humanitarian assistance, channelled through UN agencies and international NGOs, focusing particularly on agriculture rehabilitation and food security.
