§ Mr. StrawI apologise for the delay in dealing with the letters from the hon. Member in connection with Mrs. C. W. Myford and I am very sorry that she has not had an earlier response. A reply has now been sent. The delay was caused by a recent and very regrettable failure of our normal procedures in dealing with correspondence, which has now been put right. I do not regard such delays as acceptable.
