§ Mr. LockThe Lord Chancellor wrote to the President of the Law Society on 23 July 1999, when he set down targets and a timetable for improvements in the performance at the Office for the Supervision of Solicitors. A copy of this letter is available in the Libraries of both Houses. Following my visit to the Office for the Supervision of Solicitors on 9 October, the Law Society is considering suggested improvements to the avenues and mechanisms through which clients seek redress.
