§ Dawn PrimaroloThere are around 500 and 550 people who had income tax liabilities greater than £1 million in 1997–98 and 1998–99 respectively. These estimates are based on the Self Assessment computer system. I regret that information for 1999–2000 liabilities is not yet available.
