§ Mr. HainWe remain extremely concerned about the conflict in Sri Lanka and the effect it is having on the civilian population. We call upon the Sri Lankan Government and the LTTE to cease hostilities and begin negotiations immediately.
We fully support Norway's efforts to facilitate peace talks.
