§ Dr. Moonie[holding answer 11 May 2000]: The unit cost of a 27mm Mauser High Explosive round is estimated to be in the region of £63. Based on prices in the most recent MOD contracts, the unit price of an Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missile (AMRAAM) is in the order of £380,000 and that of an Advanced Short Range Air to Air Missile (ASRAAM) in the order of £200,000. All figures include VAT and are at September 1999 prices. Unit prices will vary depending on batch sizes, including orders from other customers.
