§ Mr. Alan JohnsonFrom the start of the consultation on the Maternity and Parental Leave Regulations on 4 August 1999, we have received over 300 representations in support of paid parental leave.
As announced in the Budget speech, we will be undertaking a review of parental leave and maternity pay. The findings of the review will contribute to our future thinking on this issue.
