§ Ms Beverley HughesRenewing and revitalising poor neighbourhoods has consistently been a high priority for this Government and a consultation framework on the National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal was published by the Social Exclusion Unit in April. We are already addressing the needs of disadvantaged neighbourhoods outside the inner cities through the Single Regeneration Budget but the future role of all the regeneration programmes is being considered in the current spending review.
