§ Ms QuinThe European Commission has come forward with a proposal to introduce a European Regulatory Fund for pig producers. An initial statement about the proposal was made by the European Commission at the Agriculture Council on 17 April. As presented, it does not provide for funding from the EU Budget; rather it is proposed to be a voluntary fund, financed by pig producers themselves.
