§ The Minister of State, Department for Education and Employment (Baroness Blackstone)Payment to Electoral Reform Services is in respect of a range of activities including: advising petition organisers of procedural issues; calculating petition thresholds (including grant payments to schools who provide requested information); validating petitions; printing and mailing ballot papers; and counting votes cast in ballots.
