§ Mr. HuttonGovernment Departments are undertaking a broad assessment of the likely impact of the Human Rights Act 1998 on their work, as part of the preparations for implementation on 2 October 2000. This task is in progress in the Department of Health and includes children's services with our other responsibilities.
