§ Mr. WilsonI am a member of Pilot, the successor body to the Oil and Gas Industries Task Force. It has set up a support group for the oil fabrication sector, involving government agencies and the industry. This group is charged with identifying the way forward, and ensuring that the skills base is maintained.

§ Mr. WilsonThe Government are working hard to promote exports by the oil and gas industry. It is essential we do everything possible to maximise opportunities for 523W Scottish companies. For example, I recently undertook a four-nation tour of the Far East where the oil and gas sector was central to many of my discussions.
