Bed data for individual hospitals are not collected centrally. The data are collected annually at NHS trust level, rather than by individual hospitals or site. NHS trusts provide healthcare but may provide it at more than one site.

St. George's Hospital is part of the St. George's Hospital NHS Trust. The average daily number of available beds for the St. George's Hospital NHS Trust during the period 1998–99 was 1,037.
