§ Jacqui SmithThis information is not available. However, a medical diagnosis of Guillain Barré Syndrome would not necessarily imply that the child has special educational needs. For most children with this syndrome, education provision will be made in line with the Department's guidance on the education of sick children, through to recovery. Special Educational Needs provision would, of course, be made for any child with significant learning difficulties caused by relapsing Guillain Barré Syndrome.
