§ Mr. Charles ClarkeThe latest available data on crime trends in the centre of Manchester and Greater Manchester compare the periods April 1998 to September 1998 and April 1999 to September 1999 and are shown in the table.
The five year targets set by the Greater Manchester Police Authority are:
to reduce domestic burglary by 25 per cent.;to reduce vehicle crime by 34 per cent.; andto reduce robbery by 10 per cent.
