§ Mr. BoatengThe total number of 12 to 14-year-old boys and girls, 15 and 16-year-old girls and vulnerable 15 and 16-year-old boys remanded direct to local authority secure accommodation at the end of each month to 31 March 2000, is set out in the table. Information provided by the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales indicates that from 1 April to 30 June 2000, 194 such secure remands were made. On 31 March 2000, the latest date for which figures are available, there were no children aged 10 or 11 held on remand in local authority secure accommodation.
