To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) how many public sector pension schemes are in force; and how many members each scheme has; 1132948]
(2) how many public sector pension schemes are (a) pre-funded and (b) pay as you go schemes. [132945]

There is a large number of such schemes many of which have only a small membership. Information is not held centrally on all of these schemes and could be collected only at disproportionate cost.
