The functions of Defence Attaches are as followsTo develop the bilateral defence relationship between the United Kingdom and the country or countries of accreditation in furtherance of our Defence Diplomacy aims. To provide timely and comprehensive defence advice to the Head of Mission (Ambassador or High Commissioner). To act as representative of the United Kingdom's Chief of Defence Staff and Single Service Chiefs in the country or countries of accreditation. To satisfy tasking requests from the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence and the Single Service Staffs.
