§ Mr. Chris SmithThe Tourism and Hospitality Contact Group, set up by the Government to ensure close working between Departments on policies affecting tourism, includes representatives from the following Departments:
- Department for Culture, Media and Sport
- Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food
- Cabinet Office (Regulatory Impact Unit)
- HM Customs and Excise
- Department for Education and Employment
- Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions
- Foreign and Commonwealth Office
- Home Office
- Small Business Service
- Department of Trade and Industry
- HM Treasury
- Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (Northern Ireland
- Scottish Executive
- National Assembly for Wales.
Representatives from the English Tourism Council and British Tourist Authority also attend the Group's meetings.
