Sex and Relationship Education Guidance: Circulation to Ethnic and Religious Groups

How they are ensuring that the ethnic minority and faith communities are being involved in the public consultation on their new Sex and Relationship Education Guidance published on 7th July. [HL3496]

Ethnic minority and faith communities were involved in the consultation on the draft guidance issued on 16th March. The document was sent to a wide range of groups and individuals and comments were received from the main Christian denominations and representatives from the Islamic, Jewish and Sikh faiths. We did not receive any comments from secular groups specifically representing ethnic minority interests. The guidance published on 7 July was sent to all those who had commented during the consultation.
