§ Mr. DenhamIn 1999–2000 6,000 new bone marrow donors were recruited by the National Blood Service and entered onto the British Bone Marrow Registry. The target for 2000–01 is 10,000.

§ Mr. DenhamThe National Blood Service currently types around 120 samples each week. This will rise to 250 each week by the end of 2000–01. We understand that the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust aims to recruit around 300 new donors a week.
