§ Mr. HillIn December 1999, Freightliner Ltd. lodged an application with the Department's Freight Grants Unit for track access and freight facilities grants, to take effect on the expiry of the existing grant arrangements in May 2001. PricewaterhouseCoopers were appointed jointly by the Department and the shadow Strategic Rail Authority to advise on the application, and their report was received504W at the end of May. The Secretary of State is currently considering the application in the light of advice from PricewaterhouseCoopers and officials.
