§ Mr. Stuart BellThere is no formal church mechanism for monitoring schools which have taken part in JC2000, but I am very glad that thousands of schools did join in.
The hon. Member is to be congratulated on the success of JC2000 which, as a member of the Committee, I am delighted to be associated with. JC2000 has been one of the most significant pieces of Christian input into the Millennium celebrations across the country. The pupils and teachers involved clearly enjoyed the project and 106W I have no doubt that taking part has affected many young people's understanding of the Christian nature of this Millennium year.
