To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many serving RAF pilots are available and trained in date to fly the Nimrod aircraft. [107046]

As at 25 January, there are 73 Nimrod pilots who are qualified and current. This figure is made up of 65 Nimrod MR2 pilots and eight Nimrod R1 pilots.
