§ Yvette CooperAt its meeting on 8 December, the United Kingdom National Screening Committee considered an outline proposal to pilot the use of HPV 335W testing as triage for mild and borderline smears in the National Health Service cervical screening programme. We will make a statement as soon as we have had opportunity to consider all aspects of the National Screening Committee's proposals including service provision, finance and any wider implications.
