§ Mr. LivseyTo ask the Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department what percentage of the recommendations made by family court officers have been accepted by the courts in each of the last three years. [112310]
§ Jane KennedyWe do not have information about what percentage of the recommendations made by family court officers have been accepted by the courts in each of the last three years. In all questions that come before the courts about the upbringing of a child, the courts are required to treat the welfare of the child concerned as their paramount consideration. Courts will take account of any recommendation made by a welfare officer, but are not bound to follow it.
