§ Mr. HainUK representatives in New York give their full support to efforts to implement the UN-sponsored referendum in the Western Sahara. UK representatives are also active members of the Friends of the Western Sahara grouping at the UN. The Permanent Representative to the UK Mission, Sir Jeremy Greenstock, recently met the Secretary-General of the Polisario Front and assured him that the UK would continue to support all efforts to find a just and durable peace in the Western Sahara acceptable to the Saharawi people.
