§ Mr. Charles ClarkeOur White Paper, "The Government's Proposals for Regulation of the Private Security Industry in England and Wales", published last year set out plans to establish an authority to be responsible for maintaining and improving standards within the industry, and for licensing people employed in the industry. We intend to introduce legislation as soon as Parliamentary time permits.
