§ Mr. WicksMinisters met the Chairman of the Commission for Racial Equality in October 1999 to discuss the Commission's report on ethnicity and employment in higher education. Most of the recommendations are for higher education institutions and their representative bodies. Ministers have asked the funding and representative bodies, who co-sponsored the report, to consider what more they can do to encourage institutions to make progress towards greater equality of opportunity for all groups of staff.
